THEY're BOTH 17 or 18 years old. BUT the AUTHOR made HIM MUCH taller and HER MUCH shorter to EMPHASIS what an ODD COUPLE they are, and probably to show HOW PHYSICALLY and EMOTIONALLY FRAGILE she is. GREAT series BTW, a MUST WATCH.
